After struggling to be the patient and loving mom I wanted to be, constantly depleted, having outbursts of anger towards my family, allowing the enemy to torment me with food, striving to always please people, and believing I was failing in all areas of life, I spent years finding my identity in Christ. Fighting against the spiritual bondage of perfectionism and growing my trust in Jesus, have allowed me to experience healing and restoration.

After navigating who God has called me to be as a wife, mom, leader, and businesswoman I was transformed! Through that shift, I was led to creating this safe space for other working moms to explore their own identity in Christ and create a rooted, whole, life with peace and purpose.

Born in Arizona, the youngest of four children and the first in my family to attend college. My parents instilled in me the value of education, perseverance, and serving others. I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of New Mexico. I’ve worked in higher education, in several leadership capacities, for over 22 years pursuing my passion of helping adult learners develop necessary academic and life skills to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Married to my high school sweetheart, Anthony, together we have two loving and amazing boys Anthony Jr. and Austyn (aka Auzzy) here on earth and two babies in heaven. We are a huge sports family. My husband and I both serve in college athletics and our boys love all sports, particularly basketball and baseball. Volleyball is my fav, as I played and coached it in my younger years. You can usually find us on some court or field, at church on Sunday morning, or watching a family movie cuddled up on the couch with popcorn-fireplace on.     

God is the foundation of our marriage and family-this was not always the case. Over the years my desire to seek God has grown immensely. God has gently and graciously drawn me closer to Him and through this process I am able to trust Him and receive more and more of His abundant love. This has completely transformed me, our marriage, and our family.

Now He has called me to serve YOU because let’s be honest motherhood is hard and adding your career on top of it is even harder; somedays it even feels impossible. The mission of Rooted Working Mom is to come along side you as you walk out your extraordinary calling as a working mama and help you find true Rest in Jesus, Rise in your God-given authority, and Raise Kingdom Builders. This is a tremendous honor and privilege and I thank you wholeheartedly!
